Marketing and Audience Engagement

Business Manager

As the business manager during the first semester of Bark, I focused on the financial side of the editorial process. Leighton Olsen, Brooklyn Saputo and I helped sort advertisement contracts for cycles, merchandising and, mainly, reimbursements. As a business manager, I worked with Budget Secretary Mollie Elton to make sure Bark was completing transactions and using funding correctly.

Commitment to Bark Advertising

Currently, every Bark post on Instagram that I have been involved with is featured on the repost section of my personal Instagram account. The Bark Instagram @theredwoodbark currently receives the most viewership out of any measurable Bark publication formats. Being able to try and push my articles and stories more through my own personal Instagram, although small, helps bring more viewers to the Bark.

Outside recognition

Focusing on district-wide events has allowed me to gain recognition throughout the Tamalpais Union High School District community. For example, pictured on the left; Reed Grossman, Tobin Rivera and I were featured on the official Tamalpais Union High School District Instagram account in a post highlighting our coverage on the phone-free schools community forum. As well as this, articles such as District in Divide have received recognition from organizations like TEAM, where my article has been placed on their homepage.
